| Les Etalons du Burkina |
Le tirage au sort de la Coupe du monde Brésil 2014 a eu lieu ce samedi 30 juillet 2014 à la Marina da Gloria de Rio de Janeiro, Brésil. Le Burkina Faso classé tête de série est logé dans le groupe E et affrontera le Gabon, le Niger, et le vainqueur du match Sao Tomé et Principe # Congo. Le classement FIFA du Burkina Faso (4ème africain) lui a permit d’éviter les matches de barrage.
52 équipes africaines sont engagées pour ces éliminatoires de la Coupe du monde 2014. Après la phase de poule, les premiers de chaque groupe au nombre de dix, joueront un dernier tour de qualification. Les cinq meilleures formations seront qualifiées.

Seychelles - Kenya, Guinée-Bissau – Togo, Djibouti – Namibia, Mauritanie – Libéria, Comores – Mozambique, Guinée équatoriale – Madagascar, Somalie – Ethiopie, Lesotho – Burundi, Erythrée – Rwanda, Swaziland – RD Congo, Sao Tomé e Principe – Congo, Tchad – Tanzanie.

Groupe B : Tunisie, Cap Vert, Guinée équatoriale – Madagascar, Sierra Léone

Groupe D : Ghana, Zambie, Soudan, Lesotho/Burundi
Groupe E : Burkina Faso, Gabon, Niger, Sao Tomé e Principe/Congo
Groupe F : Nigéria, Malawi, Seychelles/Kenya, Djibouti/Namibia
Groupe G : Egypte, Guinée, Zimbabwe, Comores/Mozambique
